Distance Learning Facts:

  • A Masters degree will generally take between 2 and 5 years to complete, with an average around 3 years.
  • You are expected to put in between 15 to 20 study hours per week, although this can be flexible.
  • You can choose when to start (3 to 4 starting dates in an academic year instead of one on-campus (October) starting date).
  • Tuition fees for a postgraduate degree generally vary from £6,000 to £10,000 for the entire programme.  Some degrees cost more.
  • Tuition fee payments can be flexible.  Individual module payment is often an available option.
  • On registration, you will typically receive textbooks, a study  plan, tutor support, online contact with the university, and access to extensive online database (library, journals, Datastream, Data Monitor, etc.).
  • Assessment methods are generally through exams and assignments.  Exams can usually be taken in your home country.
  • Last but not least, you need to be determined and self-disciplined.
